Rigging-Led Facility Decommissioning in an Active Technical Environment

The assignment required removal of chillers, air-handling units, generators and other major mechanical and electrical systems from a facility that still contained active or partially energized areas and operational lab spaces.

Heavy asset removal, interior demolition and landlord closeout work had to be isolated from remaining operations and coordinated as a single plan.

Flood Brothers established controlled work zones and used a rigging-led sequence for the largest assets. The team integrated electrical and data disconnects with removal of mezzanine components, raised flooring and server racks, then coordinated dock, roof and other required repairs.

The work plan emphasized separation, access control and careful sequencing so decommissioning activity did not spread into protected operating areas.

The source record documents successful removal of the major assets, controlled execution in the shared environment and completion of the facility closeout scope. It also reports zero safety incidents during the project.
