Two Very Different Services
Curbside Is a Handoff. White-Glove Is a Finished Room.
Standard freight is measured by whether the truck arrived. A pallet comes off the liftgate, someone signs, and everything after that is yours to solve: getting it upstairs, unwrapping it, finding out the corner is crushed, chasing the carrier, and explaining the delay to whoever is waiting on the room.
White-glove delivery is measured by whether the space is ready to use. We carry it in, not to the door. It is padded and blanket-wrapped before it moves, floors and door frames are protected before anything rolls across them, and each piece is set where the drawing says it goes. Assembly is done on site. Cartons, blankets, and pallets leave with us.
The difference matters most on the last 100 feet, which is where deliveries actually go wrong. A tight elevator, an unprotected threshold, a corner taken too fast. That stretch is a rounding error on the invoice and the entire risk on the project.

Who Actually Shows Up
Gloved, Trained, and on Our Payroll
White-glove is a promise about behaviour, so it only means something if you know who is carrying the piece. Our crews are full-time employees, trained on padding, wrapping, and placement, and sent out as the same teams rather than whoever was available that morning.
That is the practical reason careful handling holds up across a long project. A crew that has protected the same kind of finish two hundred times does not need to be told to pad a door frame. With 220 or more full-time in-house crew, the person setting your conference table has done it before.
One project manager owns the delivery from the first receipt at our dock to the final walk-through, so there is a single person to call and a single person accountable.
What Damage Actually Costs
The Repair Bill Is Never the Real Number
When a high-value piece arrives damaged, the invoice for the repair is the smallest part of what it costs you. The replacement goes back into a production queue measured in weeks. The room it belonged in cannot be signed off. The opening, the move-in, or the executive walkthrough moves, and everyone downstream reschedules around it.
Custom millwork, stone tops, upholstered goods, and specified fixtures are the worst cases, because they cannot be bought again quickly at any price. A single scratched panel can hold up a floor that was otherwise finished. That is the asymmetry worth planning around: careful handling is a small, known cost, and a damaged one-off is an open-ended one.
This is the whole reason white-glove exists as a separate service. You are not paying for gloves. You are paying to remove a risk whose downside you cannot cap.
How It Runs
Four Steps, and You Know Where Things Stand at Each One
-
Receive and Inspect
Shipments come to our dock, not your unfinished space. Every carton and crate is checked against the packing list and photographed, so damage in transit is documented before it becomes an argument.
-
Store and Stage
Items wait in secure warehousing until the site is genuinely ready, then get staged by room, floor, or phase. Deliveries arrive consolidated instead of trickling in across three weeks.
-
Schedule the Window
We reserve the dock and the freight elevator, clear building access and COI requirements with property management, and confirm an appointment rather than a range.
-
Deliver, Place, and Clear
Floors and frames get protected, pieces are carried in and set to the drawing, assembly is completed, and every blanket, carton, and pallet leaves with the crew.
What's Included
Everything Between the Truck and a Usable Room
The handling, protection, and finishing work that turns a shipment into a space someone can walk into.
-
Inside Delivery and Placement
Carried in, up, and set exactly where the plan says, not left at the dock or inside the door.
-
Blanket-Wrap and Protection
Padding, blanket-wrap, corner guards, floor runners, and door-frame protection before anything moves.
-
Assembly and Install
Casegoods, conference tables, workstations, and fixtures built and levelled on site, ready to use.
-
Receiving and Secure Storage
We take delivery on your behalf and hold goods in secure warehousing until the space is actually ready.
-
Debris and Packaging Removal
Cartons, crates, blankets, and pallets leave with us, so the room is finished rather than full of cardboard.
-
High-Value and Specialty Items
Art, stone, glass, millwork, medical and lab equipment, and anything with a long replacement lead time.

If Something Does Go Wrong
Insured, Documented, and Answerable to You
Careful handling is the plan. Documentation is what protects you when a plan meets a real building. Every shipment is inspected and photographed at receipt, so a factory defect or carrier damage is on record before our crew ever touches it. Condition is recorded again at placement.
We are fully licensed and insured for commercial work, and we issue certificates of insurance naming your landlord and property manager the way Class A buildings require, before the delivery date rather than on the morning of it.
If something is wrong, you are not opening a ticket with a call centre. You are calling the project manager who was on the job, who has the photographs, and whose name is on the schedule.
Questions & Answers
White-Glove Delivery FAQs
General
-
White-glove delivery from Flood Brothers includes inside delivery to the exact placement point, blanket-wrap and padding, floor and door-frame protection, unwrapping, assembly or installation, a photo condition report, and removal of all cartons, blankets, and pallets. Standard freight stops at the dock or the door and leaves the rest to you.
-
Final mile is about the last leg of transport, getting a shipment from a regional facility to your address on a scheduled appointment. White-glove is about how the item is handled once it is there: padded, carried in, placed to the drawing, assembled, and cleaned up after. Many projects use both, and Flood Brothers provides them as separate services.
-
Anything with a long replacement lead time or a finish that shows damage. In practice that means custom millwork and casegoods, conference and boardroom tables, stone and glass tops, upholstered furniture, artwork, display fixtures, and medical, lab, or technology equipment. The test is simple: if a scratch means a reorder rather than a touch-up, it needs white-glove.
-
Yes. Flood Brothers receives shipments on your behalf at our own dock, inspects and photographs them against the packing list, and holds them across more than 500,000 square feet of secure warehousing until your space is genuinely ready. Items are then staged by room, floor, or phase and delivered consolidated instead of arriving piecemeal.
-
Yes. We reserve the dock and freight elevator, clear access with property management, and issue certificates of insurance naming the landlord and management company as Class A buildings require, in advance of the delivery date. That paperwork is the most common reason a delivery gets turned away, so we handle it rather than leaving it with you.
