Commercial Decommissioning & Liquidation
Closing, downsizing, or consolidating a facility comes with a hard deadline and a landlord watching the calendar. We clear it out, destroy the data, recover the value left in your assets, and hand back a broom-clean space, on time and fully documented.
Why It's Harder Than It Looks
You already know the move itself is a project. What sneaks up on people is the space you are leaving behind. Your lease almost certainly has a restoration clause, your landlord wants the floor broom-clean by a specific date, and every day past that deadline is holdover rent nobody budgeted for. Meanwhile the retired servers and laptops stacked in the corner are not just clutter, they are a data-security liability until they are properly destroyed, and the furniture headed for the dumpster still has resale value and e-waste rules attached to it.
That is the unglamorous, deadline-driven part most movers do not want to own. We do. Flood Brothers empties a facility the right way: documented data destruction, certified recycling, real value recovery through resale and liquidation, and a clean handover that protects your deposit and closes the lease without a fight. One accountable crew, one plan, and one less thing keeping you up the week before turnover.

How It Works
We tour the space, read your lease restoration clause, and inventory everything, furniture, IT, and equipment, flagging what carries resale value and what needs special handling.
Drives and devices are wiped to standard or physically destroyed under a documented chain-of-custody, with certificates of destruction issued for your compliance file.
We remove it all, recover value through resale and liquidation where it makes sense, donate what helps, and divert about 98% of the rest from the landfill through certified recycling.
We return the space to your landlord standard, broom-clean and restored, with the documentation that protects your deposit and closes the lease on schedule.

Data & Asset Security
A decommissioned server or a stack of retired laptops is not just something to haul away, it is a breach waiting to happen and a compliance problem if it lands in the wrong dumpster. We treat IT asset disposition as a chain-of-custody process from the moment we touch it, not an afterthought once the truck is loaded.
Drives are wiped to standard or physically destroyed, you receive certificates of destruction for your records, and resaleable gear is recovered for value instead of landfilled. Your data stays accounted for the entire way out the door. When the move and the close-out are one project, we coordinate it alongside your office relocation so nothing slips between vendors.

Sustainable by Default
Throwing a floor of furniture into a dumpster is the expensive, wasteful way to empty a space, and increasingly the one your stakeholders ask about. We sort for the best outcome instead: resale and liquidation for what holds value, donation where it does good, and certified recycling for the rest. Across our projects we divert roughly 98% of decommission materials from the landfill.
You recover money you would otherwise throw away, keep tons of material out of the waste stream, and walk away with the recycling and resale documentation to back up your sustainability and ESG reporting. Need to stage assets between leases first? We can hold them in our own secure, racked warehouse space until the resale or relocation timing is right.
Beat the Handover Date
The penalty for a slow close-out is real money, holdover rent, restoration charges, and a landlord with leverage. So we build the schedule backward from your handover date and run nights, weekends, and back-to-back crews when the calendar demands it. The earlier you bring us in, the more options you have to recover value instead of paying to dispose of it.
Friday the space is still full. By your deadline it is empty, broom-clean, and documented, data destroyed, assets resold or recycled, and the keys handed back without a fight.
What's Included
One accountable crew and one point of contact for every part of emptying the space, so nothing falls through the cracks at the worst possible time.
We clear workstations, casegoods, fixtures, and equipment from a single suite to an entire facility.
Drives wiped or physically destroyed under chain-of-custody, with certificates of destruction.
We recover value on furniture, equipment, and resaleable IT instead of paying to throw it away.
E-waste and materials recycled to standard, with donation where it helps, about 98% diverted from landfill.
Stage assets between leases or build-out phases in our own secure, racked warehouse space.
The space returned to landlord standard, documented, so you avoid restoration penalties.
Every Asset in the Building
Closing more than an office? We handle full warehouse relocations and ongoing storage and warehousing, and we can fold the close-out into a coordinated office relocation so the old space and the new one are run by the same team.

Questions & Answers
It is everything involved in handing a space back: removing furniture, fixtures, and equipment, securely destroying or disposing of IT assets, recycling and liquidating what is left, and returning the space broom-clean to your landlord restoration standard. We tailor the scope to your lease and your timeline.
Drives and devices are wiped to standard or physically destroyed under a documented chain-of-custody, and you receive certificates of destruction for compliance and your own records. Resaleable gear is recovered for value only after the data is gone.
Yes, that is usually the whole point. We build the schedule backward from your handover date and work nights and weekends when needed so you avoid holdover rent and landlord penalties. The earlier you bring us in, the more value-recovery options we have.
We sort for the best outcome: resale and liquidation for items with value, donation where it helps, and certified recycling for the rest, keeping roughly 98% out of the landfill. Where there is recoverable value, that resale can offset part of the project cost.
Yes. You receive certificates of data destruction and recycling, plus a clear record of how assets were dispositioned, the paper trail your compliance, ESG, and sustainability reporting need.
