Why Charlotte Offices Move With Us
Uptown Towers Do Not Forgive a Vendor Who Improvises
Charlotte offices tend to fall into three very different moves, and confusing them is how a schedule falls apart.
Uptown is the strict one. The Tryon Street and College Street towers run on reserved freight elevators, certificates of insurance naming both the ownership entity and the property manager, and after-hours building engineering that gets billed by the hour. Dock access is often off a side street with a short queue and a hard cutoff, so a truck that shows up without a booked window waits or leaves. Add a Panthers or Hornets game letting out, or a race weekend, and the streets around the loop stop cooperating entirely.
South End is the opposite problem. The converted mill buildings look easy until you meet the freight elevator, and the Blue Line running down the middle of the street limits where a trailer can legally sit. Ballantyne, SouthPark and University City are the friendliest: surface parking, dock-level access, and far fewer people to work around.
We plan each of those differently because they are genuinely different jobs. What does not change is that the building paperwork is filed and confirmed before the trucks are loaded.

When a build-out runs late or a lease gap opens, furniture and gear wait in our monitored warehouse instead of stacked in a corridor.
-
Decommission & Liquidation
Downsizing a floor? We remove, donate, liquidate, or responsibly dispose of furniture and equipment and leave the old space broom-clean for the landlord.

The Crew That Breaks Down Your Office Is the Crew That Rebuilds It
Every mover and installer on your Charlotte job is a full-time Flood Brothers employee. That matters most in Uptown, where the building wants a named crew list in advance and a badge for each person on it. A roster that changes shift to shift turns that into a problem you end up managing yourself.
It also matters for your furniture. The crew that takes down a benching system knows how it came apart when they put it back together, which is the difference between a clean Monday and a floor full of parts nobody can identify.
Questions & Answers
Charlotte Office Relocation FAQs
General
-
Yes, and it is how most Charlotte moves run. Heavy work goes on a Friday night or across a weekend so your team leaves one office and logs in at the new one. In Uptown the building usually decides the window for us, since freight elevator time after hours is reserved and often shared with other tenants in the stack.
-
We do, and before move day rather than at the dock. Charlotte property managers typically want a certificate naming both the ownership entity and the management company, at limits they specify, plus a reserved elevator window and sometimes a security deposit for protection of the cab and corridors. We file it, confirm it in writing, and send you the confirmation so nobody is relying on a phone call.
-
Yes. Our crews disconnect, transport and reconnect workstations, monitors and phones, and we handle server and network gear with asset tracking. For a real server room rather than a closet, our data center relocation team plans the cutover so core network comes back before everything that depends on it.
-
All of it. Uptown and the Third and Fourth Ward towers, South End and NoDa, SouthPark, Ballantyne, University City and the research park, Steele Creek and the airport corridor, plus Matthews, Huntersville, Concord and over the line into Fort Mill and Rock Hill. Same crews, one project manager, no handoff at the state line.
-
Yes, in more than 500,000 square feet of secure warehousing, inventoried so you know what is there rather than guessing. Lease gaps and build-outs running late are the two most common reasons Charlotte offices need it, and both are easier to plan for than to react to.
